Had a bit of a rough start to the weekend last night but things improved this afternoon somewhat. The kid and I are cruising down to the Keys tomorrow, partly for business and then for some fun. Since I scored the Sunday morning off playing with the Life Point Church at the Flagship Movie Theater praise band (they’re pretty killer YOU should go there to see them sometime). We may play total hooky and cut out early and head down. But YOU should go! You know who you are.
Anyway I spent most of the day cleaning the office out, I’m not done yet but have high hopes for the evening.
It’s really our Life Group buddy Tere’s fault that I had to do this (ok not really, but stay with me I’m building a watch here and it adds drama). A few weeks ago she had a yard sale in which we took over a bunch of stuff and sold a bunch of stuff, then gave the rest of the “stuff” away at the Goodwill truck (your stuff is stuff, other peoples stuff is… well remember the George Carlin bit). I had everything in big plastic bins, once they were empty we managed to fill them up with more really cool yard sale junk (stuff). They have since sat in the office taking up a lot of space.
At this point you would think the project would be over just moving the bins, but NO. I had bought an eliptical machine a while back and well, it’s in the office and we hang shirts to dry on it. So told my wife Gail maybe I’d load it up and try and sell it in the yard sale, with the other stuff. She said “no, we’ll use it, don’t sell it”… we still ain’t yet. However today I have cleaned up the office and it’s sitting there staring at me as I write this. Anybody wanna buy an eliptical machine?
More to come…

I’m really new at this, but have to admit it’s kind of fun. My next step is to create a web page but since I haven’t a clue how to do it don’t look for it in the real near future (that’s a hint by the way). My buddy Terry showed me some basic stuff, but you know what happens when you give a procrastonater a good idea right?
Nothing.
I’m trying to wrap my head around this whole blogging deal though. It’s kind of just a journal of thoughts and experiences, that’s cool because others if they’re interested can share in that with you. It’s neat if someone validates your installment with a response.
However in the past when I’ve kept a journal called it a diary. A “diary” is supposed to be personal. If a diary is personal and the whole world can read it then it’s not really a diary but more like an “article”. In which case you really have to be careful what you say so as not to offend people, unless you don’t care about that and say whatever you want anyway. Some folks are just too easily offended anyway (I digress).
So it brings me full circle. I’m writing personal thoughts in order to journal or “diarize” them in which case that makes me a “jounalist” or a “diarist”, and if your reading this it makes you a voyeur-ist. Hmmmm…

I’m an insurance salesman and we hear a lot of stories. When you go to file a claim for one of your insureds you get some really funny stuff, here’s a few:
The gentleman behind me struck me on the backside. He then went to rest in a bush with just his rear end showing.
I was thrown from my car as it left the road. I was later found in a ditch by some stray cows.
I had been driving for forty years when I fell asleep at the wheel and had an accident.

Headed up to Prt St. Lucie for the long weekend and had a pretty cool time. Saturday morning we woke up and rode up there and came back this morning. Folks have a new house they’re renting in a nice area community called Lake Charles. There’s a nice clubhouse and pool which went to a couple times and Sunday afternoon we were treated to a boat ride with my sis and her family. We went all the way down to Wayne Hizenga’s house on the bay in Stuart, then back to the launch off of West St Lucy Blvd (Prima Vista). It’s an insane ode to one man’s ridiculous display of wealth. Pretty cool though…
Saturday night went to the Bonefish Grill, it was our first time and not likeley our last.
We are always inspired by the area there because of the opportunities and hope to move there one day. Homestead is OK, but it really pales in camparison. It would be a lot better for our careers and our daughters chances as well in a place like that. We can only hope the powers that be, and the citizens of Homestead would take a little more pride and make this a similar place to live.

Got to work today till 1:00PM then I’ll be driving out of here like a bandit in a carjack. Should’ve taken the whole day but busy.
Daughter went to the dentist yesterday and as expected it was not the best report. Her friend Lucy came over yesterday and she say’s “Lucy just the person i wanted to see. I went to the dentist today and it went pretty well except I have 4 cavities.” Kids are a gift from God, albeit and expensive one.

This week has been nuts and will stay that way till the end of the week. Anyway here’s a mixed bag of thoughts:
- Just how long do you “pay your dues” before you launch?
- Bought the Clapton Crossroads concert DVD, it’s just off the chain awesome. BB King rocks!!
- Get a day off Monday, sweeet!
- My kid goes to a new dentist Thursday afternoon, hasn’t been in a year… we’re in trouble plus she needs braces. I’ll need another stimulous package, and fairly soon G W if you’re reading this.
- Wife works night shift and I hate it and she hates it, hoping she can score a day job soon.
- My band “The Messengers” rocked Life Point Church in Homestead last week we had a blast. Playing with the regular praise band has been an honor, but I really dig making music with my gang and miss them some kind of terrible.
- As an insurance agent I’m wondering how long this economic downturn will last?
- I have a house in Homestead Florida I can’t sell and upside down in.
- We started carpooling to the office, spending $100 a week in %&$@# gassssss! It’s insane, guess we’ll just get used to $4.50-5.00 a gallon. We need to drill, we need nuclear power, ethanol is a total scam from the pit of hell and costing us even more to drive. Our next President right or left, and Congress people need to get their heads out their collective butts and fix this. (this is my rant for the day)

There’s so much to say and so little time to say it.
Hello world, you’ll be hearing a lot more from me.
